Installing a garden shed doesn’t have to be time-consuming. If you decide to build it from scratch, it will take a while. Plus you have to be sure you have the right technical skills to do a good job. Not every DIY enthusiast can put up a safe, solid shed that won’t end up collapsing or being a safety hazard.
On the other hand, you could always get a pre-fab shed which is far easier to install. It comes with simple instructions and the necessary tools, and it can be erected in less than a day. Here at Col Western Sheds, we supply three varieties of garden sheds, and well as work sheds and pool filter covers.
If you’re looking for a new garden shed, Penrith is a good place to start. We have a shop here in Penrith that’s open six days a week so that you can browse our products. We can also deliver your flat-pack garden shed right to your door, ready for installation. Our sheds are available in colours ranging from white to green.
When you buy a shed from us, we recommend that you lay a concrete slab before we bring over your flat-pack. The slab should extend 100mm outside the shed’s perimeter in all directions. You will also need to seal the shed after it’s put up, and apply a layer of silicone on the inside of the shed, along with the joints between the roof and the floor. This prevents leakage by stopping cold wind and moisture from getting into the shed.

Our sheds come with single or double-door options, and you can also request customised dimensions to suit your needs. You can also ask for shelves, skylights, extra doors and windows, or anchors. If you let us know in advance, we can incorporate them into the design of your shed. Our garden sheds come in three options: flat, skillion, and gabled.
Flat roof sheds are our entry-level offering, and you can install them if you have limited space. They have a single door and a flat roof, and their pricing starts at $270. The door smoothly slides open and shut, and you can secure it with a padlock for additional safety. Our smallest flat roof model is 1.57m x 0.81m x 1.09m while our largest has dimensions of 4.64m x 1.57m x 1.84m. We have multiple options in between.
As for our gable roof shed, they are 1.81m high with a peak of 2.13m. If you’re willing to spend a little more money, you can add extra trusses, expand your shed dimensions in 200mm increments, or order your shed in deluxe colours. Gabled roofs can also include extrusions to create an overhang.
Skillion sheds are similar to flat roof sheds, except that the roof is installed at an angle. The slight slope allows rainwater to flow off the roof, avoiding flooding. You can install gutters to help with rainwater collection.
